12 DAYS WILDLIFE SPOTLIGHT SAFARI

This 12 days adventure takes you to Bwindi impenetrable N/Park which hosts half of the mountain gorilla population in the whole world. This same safari gives you a chance to experience Murchison falls national park which is famous for the variety of wildlife, unequaled scenery and the mighty Murchison falls believed to be the strongest waterfalls in the world.

Day 1: Early arrival and transfer to Murchison falls national park.
Following an early arrival at Entebbe airport, your driver / guide will be ready to pick you up and embark on the journey to Murchison falls national park. Through Luwero town, grab a Ugandan pineapple to appreciate the nutritious organic fruits of this country; have a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary and track the white southern Rhinos.

The sanctuary was set up mainly to protect the white rhinos from the poachers, following their initial extinction in the 1980’s. Have lunch in Masindi then proceed to the lodge thereafter. Murchison falls National Park is largest national park in the pearl of Africa covering over 3800 sq.km.
Its vegetation ranges from swamp land, savannah to riparian forest and the wildlife species here include; lions, elephants, leopards, hyenas, primates, giraffes and so many others. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise along the Victoria Nile.
After your early breakfast, go for the morning game drive and spot many wildlife species like giraffes, lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, antelopes and so many others. The morning game drive gives you a chance to spot the nocturnal animals and the hunters before they return to their hideouts as well as the early risers.

In the afternoon after lunch, go for a leisurely boat cruise on the Victoria Nile which is a famous spot in this park to view lots of wildlife species at a close and clear range. The wildlife likely to be spotted on a boat cruise ranges from hippos, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and many others that come to drink water to refresh themselves off the scorching sun and also to enjoy fresh grass along the banks of the river in the afternoon. However also spot reptiles like the Nile crocodiles and a number of bird spices. The boat goes to the base of Murchison falls and here you get a chance to see the most lovely and powerful falls in the world. You can either choose to hike to top of the falls or just return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer from Murchison falls national park to Kibale forest national park.
Transfer to kibale national park after breakfast, pass through Lake Albert escarpments which will give you remarkable views of this stunning lake. Have lunch in Hoima then proceed to the park. The journey will take you through Lake Nkusi joining along Lake Kyoga& Lake Albert. Remember to take pictures of the rolling hills filled with traditional cash crops that you will encounter on the way to Kibale national park.

This park is home to one of the greatest rain forests in Africa and it hosts around 13 primate species, with the rare chimpanzees inclusive. Some of the primate species found in this park include; black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, chimpanzees among others. This park is close to Bigodi wetland which is managed and owned by the local people in this community and it is famous for primates and bird watching. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and bigodi wetland visit.
Have an early breakfast then head to the park headquarters for briefing and there after enter the forest to start the chimpanzee tracking while following the ranger guides. Kibale national park is among the best primate destinations in Africa especially for chimpanzee tracking. It accommodates a number of primates and other wildlife. The moment you meet the chimpanzees, you are only give an hour to be with them. After tracking these great apes, you will go back to your hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, go for nature walk at bigodi wetland where you will get a chance to encounter a number of bird species and the communities. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer from Kibale Forest National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Have breakfast, then transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will go through the crater lakes. The journey will reward you with attractive scenery landscape of Queen Elizabeth n/park, Kasese and the jagged Rwenzori. You will check in at the lodge and have lunch. You will spend your evening at the lodge.

Day 6: Game drive and boat cruise along Kazinga channel.
After breakfast, go for the morning game drive and it will reward you with the sight of various wildlife like; elephants, lions, leopards, antelopes, buffaloes, hippos, and so many others. later return to the lodge for relaxation and have lunch. After having lunch in the afternoon, go for a boat cruise on kazinga channel. Still on this boat, you will sight many animals like buffaloes, antelopes, reptiles and so many others. Still on the boat cruise, you will encounter a variety of bird species including even the water birds. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 7: Transfer from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi impenetrable National Park.
Have breakfast, then start your journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park the home of an impenetrable forest as well as the endangered mountain gorillas and this park accommodates half of the mountain gorilla population in the world with up to 15 habituated gorilla groups. On this journey, you will get a chance to spot the climbing lions of ishasha sector which are famous in Queen Elizabeth national park, have a lunch en-route after proceed to the park. You will have dinner and overnight at the park.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa community walk.
After breakfast in the early morning, head to the park headquarters for a briefing from the park rangers about dos and don’ts while in that park. After you will be divided in a group of 8 members. Then enter the forest and start off gorilla trekking safari as directed by the rangers. It is a magnificent experience watching the gentle mountain gorillas playing, feeding plus doing other interesting activities. Gorilla trekking takes 2 to 8 hours depending on the location and movement of the group you’re trekking. After meeting the gorillas, you’re only allowed to spend one hour with them so remember to use it wisely. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, go for the community walk around the Batwa community, and you will be entertained and told tales of their unique culture. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 9: Transfer from Bwindi impenetrable forest to Lake Bunyonyi. Undertake boat cruise.
After having breakfast, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi the second deepest lake in Africa and it is one of the lakes that is free from bilharzia in Uganda and safe for swimming. The drive will reward you with magnificent landscape. Have lunch and after go for the boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi. The boat cruise will reward you with the sight of the different islands on the lake and other surroundings. After having breakfast, go for the boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi. Day 10: Zip lining and transfer to Lake Mburo national park.
After having breakfast, go for the high rope activity and zip lining however the levels are a bit challenging but rewarding with a great experience. Have lunch at the lodge and transfer to Lake Mburo national park, one of the smallest savannah park in Uganda. It covers an area of 371 sq.km and hosts over 332 bird species and a variety of wildlife like Zebras, antelopes, Oribis, warthogs among others. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 11: Game walk and boat cruise
After having breakfast, go for a morning game walk which is commencing at rwonyo tourism center at 7am. On this activity, the guide accompany the travelers when he is armed. A wide range of wild dame is explored including Giraffes, water bucks, zebras, antelopes and many others on foot. The walk in the savanna as you see the sun rising over it is another memorable experience. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. This experience will reward you with sightings of crocodiles, Hippos, monitor lizards, buffaloes and so much mammals that come to drink from the banks of the lake.

Day 12: Depart back to Kampala.
After having breakfast, transfer to Kampala. The drive will reward you with magnificent sights and landscapes. Have a stop at the Equator for some amazing photos and water experiments that justify the geographical divide between the northern and southern hemisphere. Have lunch at Kayabwe, &then proceed to Kampala. You will be dropped at your lodge or at the airport.
